I almost never review apps, but Been earned it. I tried a few travel trackers and they were either ugly, messy, or felt like old websites. This one just clicked. No tutorial, I tapped cities/countries and suddenly my map was filling up. weirdly satisfying, and it made me realise I’ve been to more places than I thought. Been allows you to sign in with Google or Apple. As long as you're signed in, all your travel data connects to your account. If you switch devices and sign in, it all stays there - your map, stats, and visited places will be available on any device where you're signed in.
Been bases its default country and territory boundaries on UN standards. However, we understand that border disputes are complex and people may have different views. That's why we've included a setting in the app that allows you to customize certain disputed territory borders based on your personal views. We don't take sides on political disputes - we simply provide you with the tools to represent your travel experiences the way you see them.

However, adding new trips or countries requires an internet connection. Once you're back online, all your changes will automatically sync to the cloud and across all your devices.
